Modifications
In order to meet the needs of all students, here are a few suggested modifications:
- Some of your students may benefit from hearing the story read aloud. In this case I would record the books on a audio cassette tape using my own voice. I would provide these students with a copy of that tape as well as a cassette player.
- Some of your students may have a hard time completing the reading and the "job" for each section. In this case I would modify the job for that section. For example, if the class is working on the job of Discussion Director and they have to come up with five questions, I would only have that child to come up with two- three questions.
