About the Staff...

Karen Laws, Administrative Assistant

Things seem to be going great at Karen's house; that is if she and Clinton can keep everyone healthy.  Aaron is still having his bouts with colds and sore throats, which is driving Karen crazy trying to cure these.  Clinton and Karen seem to be catching every little virus or whatever germs Aaron brings home, so they are continuously passing it around.  The other boys are doing great; their science projects at school are nearly completed.  Kyle broke his wrist at the LES ski trip on February 24th.  Karen believes he is telling everyone that he was doing flips on his snowboard going down Orchard Hill.  In actuality, Kyle fell backwards on the Bunny Slope.  Kyle is doing fine now, however he is still aggravating Kris every chance he can, and is taking advantage of not having to do the dishes for at least six weeks.

Karen is beginning a new challenge in her life, (consider it a part of her adult learning experience), she is going to learn how to play the banjo!  It is something that she has always wanted to learn.  Clinton surprised her by giving her a banjo for a Valentine's Day gift.  Karen is so excited and cannot wait to begin her lessons.  Read more about Karen in our Back Issues of LES Perspective: Community News: Staff sections.

Jennifer Ware, Office Assistant

The 25th Anniversary of the Southeastern Winter Games for Special Olympics were a huge success!  Over 200 athletes braved all the weather elements to end on a glorious, sun-filled day.  Many thanks to those that came out to help with such a wonderful event.  This was by far the most successful games in the 25-year history with next year promising to be even better.  Jenny hopes that next year they can have even more folks from the department to come out and lend a helping hand.  Read more about Jenny in our Back Issues of LES Perspective: Community News: Staff sections.
