Molly is an immigrant from Russia. The girls in her new school in Winter Park love making fun of her imperfect English and her different clothes. Molly is very sad and beg her mom to move back to Russia. Her mom tells her that is impossible because of the religious persecution they received. During a lesson on Thanksgiving the whole class learn what a modern day pilgrim is thanks to Molly and a doll her mom made in her moms image.
