NCDPI’s Streamvideo (only available to teachers in NC schools)

Follow the directions below to access Caldecott streaming videos in your classroom:

  1. In order for the sound to be of highest quality, the computer must have QuickTime loaded. External speakers may also improve sound.

  2. Open your browser and type in http://streamsearch.dpi.state.nc.us/Caldecott

  3. The next screen should show Protected Content Login. Type in caldecott for user name and ncwiseowl for password.

  4. Choose the title you wish to view.

  5. At the window CHOOSE CONNECTION SPEED; choose the QuickTime Cable/T1.

  6. A small window should appear. To enlarge screen, click the middle screen button in top right hand corner (between the minimize button and close button).  To begin play, press play button (largest button in center). It may take a few moments for configuration.

    NOTE: These are 30-minute videos, but they can be divided into 4-5 segments when downloaded to your hard drive. Additional streaming curriculum resources will soon be available for middle and high school. Check with your media coordinator for login and password to access these resources.
